This antique dress is gorgeous!
Its from the early 1900’s, the Edwardian era..
Over 100 years old, amazing!
Its made entirely of sheer white eyelet and Irish crochet lace..
Beautiful inset floral pattern at the bust..
I love the tailoring with the high collar and pigeon bust..
The sleeves are half length with crochet lace cuffs..
Fitted waist making a perfect silhouette..
Full length skirt with a slight flare and beautiful pintucked cotton bottom ruffle..
Buttons up the back with real mother of pearl buttons.
A beautiful beautiful antique dress!!
Excellent condition for its age..there are some small breaks in the lace here and there that can be easily mended..the underarms are strong and without any repairs..I see one faint mark on the shoulder and one by the buttons but the color is a nice bright white without aging or staining..the inside of the neck has some pinkish orange marks that I believe are from makeup..I decided not to launder this dress as the makeup marks are fantastically historical and add so much charm in my opinion..I will leave it up to the buyer to have this dress cleaned.
