This antique dress is gorgeous!
Its from the early 1900’s, the Edwardian era..
Well over 100 years old, amazing!
Its made entirely of the finest sheer white cotton..
It is heavily embroidered at the bust and skirt..
Beautiful inset floral lace accenting the entire dress..
I love the tailoring of the pigeon bust and the pintucks details
The sleeves are half length with an amazing inset lace pattern and slightly flared cuffs..
Fitted waist making a perfect silhouette..
Full length skirt with a loverly flare and huge bottom ruffle embroidered with Fluer de Lis motifs and openwork..stunning!!
Buttons up the back with real mother of pearl buttons and a hook and eye at the waist..
An absolutely beautiful antique dress!!
Displayed with a small bridal hoop to show the skirt embroidery and fullness and not included with the dress
Excellent condition for its age..there are some previous repairs and small mends..there are small breaks in the lace here and there and some holes in the cotton..most can be easily mended..the underarms have some repairs..the color is a nice bright white without aging or staining..I decided not to launder this dress as this piece is fantastically historical and the original finish adds so much charm in my opinion..I will leave it up to the buyer to have this dress cleaned and mended
